The Lasan - F WORD winning restaurant

Uniwell's restaurant reservations software has helped an award winning restaurant to cope with a sudden and unprecedented increase in table reservations. PurePOS Reservations the advanced IT reservations system had an immediate effect by improving the efficiency of bookings at the Lasan Indian restaurant, in Hockley, Birmingham.

Jabbar Khan owner of the Lasan restaurant won the prestigious F Word Best Local Restaurant award, in January. Following this success, staff were struggling to handle the high volume of incoming calls and the traditional paper diary booking system was proving inefficient in recording reservations and coping with a continually changing seating plan.

The introduction of the new reservations system is now helping staff to handle mass bookings more easily, promoting a more professional image to customers whilst improving overall business efficiency. A new graphical table plan, with time-line, provides a constantly updated snap shot view of the restaurant's capacity and shows the most appropriate layout of tables. Further to this, the system captures customer details which can be used for targetted promotional activity in the future, based on diner's personal preferences.

The system was installed by Uniwell reseller Birmingham Cash Registers who have been a supplier to Lasan for the past eight years. "The Lasan restaurant is a great example of how our technology has successfully helped a business to run more smoothly and effectively. Lasan is now taking reservations six months ahead and without a professional IT solution the restaurant could easily have fallen foul of its own success" says Steve Shaw managing director of Birmingham Cash Registers.
