Victor Buchanan owner of the White Swan in Pickering, upgraded his former hotel epos system software system, to the Professional Edition of Resident Pro in 2002.
A renowned 22 bedroom hotel, the White Swan also installed Uniwell EPOS system terminals to manage their bar and restaurant, to bill back sales to the guest bills on Resident Pro - and automatic capture and costing of phone calls made from the bedrooms on their LG telephone system.
Using Resident Pro on a "front office / back office" network, allowed the management team to access the software from different areas within the hotel. The software enabled the staff to balance their sales each day on Resident Pro, with their credit card machine, and till z readings. Separate 'point of sale' cash and plastic sales on the DX895 epos system would be entered onto Resident Pro prior to each balance. Clever archiving would allow management to look back at monthly takings, heads on beds and occupancy figures, and to see which members of staff were making or changing bookings, and bills.

The Resident Pro software would also produce a banking report, to confirm the amounts waiting to be banked. In short, a controlled and accountable system of work, to manage the hotel, and balance the books.
